I haven't updated my DW for a while now.

Guess real life (covid 19!) took over.

We are now in the midst of Ghost Month. I have books coming out - indie, not trad. Still waiting for Fire Heart's pub date and cover.

Hungry Ghost Festival starts today!

Me? Battling the heat and humidity, and swearing it's also hot flashes, no thanks to premenopause. But after talking to a few people, I have come to this conclusion: it's the goddamn weather!. Drinking a lot of water, cold showers, yeesh - I hate Singapore during the "summer" months. It has always been warm already, but it seems worst now.

A couple of days ago was Singapore's National Day. The usual Twitter snark started the moment the parade began. People were generous with their needling, but I can't help think they love the country too, with all its faults.
