Friday saw me coming down with a viral infection (another ENT thing). Woke up and knew that I just couldn't. Working after two years of non-work does funny things to the body and mind. I have to keep working at it.
Saturday was D's birthday. We went to Crystal Jade for dinner. Dot walked around, charming everyone. And talk about sonic attack - she can really scream. ;)
Sunday. Well, it's Sunday afternoon now. D and the girls are off to the beach. I have some downtime (a short nap) before I head off to PHEMAS. Meeting
skyfiery.
And... I got my first-round edits! Really good feedback. And my editor liked my story! =)
Tomorrow, well, tomorrow is a brand new day. I keep telling myself that I get paid. :P

Wednesday state of the Saber: work!
Jun. 30th, 2010 08:25 pmWork has begun in earnest, with the expected MEETINGS appearing at unexpected times (ad hoc, folks - when do people ever learn?)
I am enjoying it so far, though they are giving me classes out of the blue and I am the 'dogsbody' for emergencies (read: expendable). Tuesdays are my horrible days with only an hour for a breather. Mind you, I am taking completely new classes and they need about two months to get used to me and my style. Hope the school isn't expecting me to perform a miracle (I have a feeling that they might).
The exhaustion was expected. I haven't taught for two years. But wow, I slept heavily! Perhaps the 5.15am wake-up time is playing a factor here.
Writing is now on a standstill when I grapple with this new thing in my life. Changes.
Cub keeps asking me how I am coping with the job. Dot knows something is going on and greets me enthusiastically whenever I return from work.
Need to get my energy levels back on par. Going to PHEMAS will kick my butt into action (hopefully).
