It's Saturday, so the mad Saturday swirl is expected. I have grown leery of crowds, especially the heaving sea of humanity jam-packing the shopping malls, most hanging out just to be seen and not to shop. I am not a shopping mall person anything.

So.

1. Give writing a break (for the weekend).
2. Observe, watch. (A good lesson when you want to write scenes and people).
3. Time with my folks and family.

A slew of activism-related stuff is on today:

1. Pink Dot. sg.
2. The Symposium on Animal Welfare (ACRES is involved)

*EDIT: I drank a bowl of "an tie yao", a herbal brew to protect and calm the baby. It's also the same herbal brew called "The Thirteen Bodyguards". Tasted bitter at the first sip and left a layer of sourness in my mouth.

Bitter taste seems to balance a lot of things in me -- perhaps because many foods, even natural ones, are heavy on salts and sugars. My whole system feels better after ingesting something bitter such as dandelion greens, than it does after ingesting sweet or salty (possibly because I already have too much of those). I'm saying this as a result of experience rather tan actual research, though. It would be interesting to look into that.
