A *gasp* non-cyberfunded creativity post!

Yes, I am still grappling... strangling... Paypal and its strangeness when it comes to the Donate button. I have folks telling me that they are able to find five buttons under Website Payments Standard (after clinking on Merchant Services). I must have tried it countless times... to no avail. I only got to see Buy Now, Add To Cart and Subscribe.

Is there something Singaporean users are restricted to? (Like the Donate button) Or is it just me, net-clueless?

And...

I received another rejection letter/email from another local publisher. Reason: they do not publish genre fiction, especially speculative fiction! (Duh!)

EDIT:
After much swearing, tinkering and a helpful link by a friend, the Donate button has appeared and apparently worked.

Does PayPal have a "Contact Us" feature where you can ask questions not covered in the FAQ's? I might ask a friend of mine, cleothyla - also on DW with the same name, where she found the "Donate" option.

Yep, I sent a question to their help desk. Two or three days of wait-time. Gah.

yay, at least the paypal bit is fixed. also boo to publishers not handling entire good genres of stuff and not sufficiently warning people not to waste their time on publisher suck :P

As for local publishers - well, they are good for cookbooks, memoirs and boring mundane genres that apparently sell well here in Singapore. :P
