I for one, am very glad your works got published in ebook format. It makes them more accessible across many countries as long as you have an internet access and/or a device to read it on.
People who say that 'things have changed!' are on the dumb side, to be nice about it. The big (six? whatever?) are dominating SFF awareness, no matter how their marketing models are failing. No matter how many people want more fiction than they can get, and yet all they find is whatever the big publishers put on the market. People can't buy what they don't have.
