Yeah - well, I was very surprised when my friend told me that Heian (i think it was) Japan really didn't care two hoots about the sexual conduct of the women, compared to the very strict conduct of the women in Imperial China (whichever dynasty). But I do like the description of the kimono, almost bird-like. Very silky.
