Updates.

Well, recovery has begun apace. Writing my sword fantasy which I allowed to languish in the hard-drive for ten years. TEN YEARS.

So, a hour or so ago, I received the "feedback" from a (what I thought was) a trusted person. I received an essay-length email on how sword-fighting is supposed to be not. Classic mansplaining at its best. Needless to say, I actually blocked the person's email account - I was that annoyed.

Still writing the sword fantasy, even though it doesn't fit his world view.

Wait a minute... You're a trained fencer.
You're the only person I know (have ever known) who's knowledge of sword fighting didn't come from Hollywood movies. o.O

No wonder you were annoyed. :(

I am trained, yes. Still learning - it's always a learning curve (steep or otherwise).

So... yes, I am still annoyed, because dude implied my novella came from Hollywood movies. >.

So I guess we can deduce from that, that the producers of the movies he watches pick excellent stunt folks and fight arrangers. :P

Well, he actually apologized profusely.

I should have... but then again, I guess he can't see the pictures of my swords on FB... selective reading, I guess. ;)

LOL. I am writing even more. Hit the 11k marker, would say it's a novella-length now. :D And it's not even done.
