I have updated my blog, whereby you will see two new chapters of Halcyon Days, the second book of the Gabriel Sutherland series.

A lot of thinkery this weekend. Think I have been yearning for things I couldn't obtain. The feeling of having doors slammed shut in face is tiring. I have to move on. I have options. I can choose. I am not alone. It is not the end of the world.Jobs eluding me. Being rejected all the time. I have been barking up the wrong trees all the time. Time to move on.

Sipping tea. Thinking aloud. 2016 has done a number on me - but I am not going to give up.

Today starts my social media hiatus once more.

Don't worry. I will post updates. But there will be reduced presence as I need to give myself a break from social media and its consequences.

Updates.

I seem unable to pull myself away from werewolves and lycanthropy. In this case, Chinese werewolves who cherish family ties, traditions and culture. I have an urban fantasy (contemporary fantasy?) series set in Singapore. Then this story idea crept in – a space opera with werewolf merchant/warrior clans. At first, I wanted a grimdark feel to it, but I think the story took its own form and shape.

I don’t think I will ever write to industry standards or trends. The werewolves-in-space idea might be laughable to some, hilarious to others, but it has been fun writing it and visualizing a world with metal and fur.

Starfang: Claw of the Clan is now serialized on Wattpad and Patreon. Wattpad has a better format and does not screw up layout and wording. Many grateful thanks to my supporters and readers.:)

Did a DW clean-up and re-organization. If I unsubscribe you, no offence. Interests, beliefs and thoughts have diverged.

Subsequent posts will be filtered/friends-locked. Unfiltered posts will only be general updates etc.

Taking out the painkillers for today. Uterus is rebelling.

And happy birthday to the spouse!

It's so warm today I didn't mind standing under the (lukewarm) showers. Outside right now, as the day edges towards evening, the sky is a blue-white, with fierce sunlight making sharp shadows on walls and the construction site next to my apartment block.

It would seem we stand at the threshold, at a liminal moment - perhaps the summer is reaching its peak and we see the wheel of the year turning. At the moment, it is painful and terribly warm - the chinwags talk about global warming. I say we stand at the gates; the choice is ours to step through.

I am going back to work again. In the same school. Only a different subject.

But, at least, it's work.

Back.

In Singapore.

Jet lag is quite something.

Tomorrow night (well, midnight-ish), I am going to get on a plane and fly out of Singapore. Three months ago I made a similar journey. The same transits, only a different destination. That destination now has become a pleasant memory, where I met friends, made new ones and came into my own. That place now, Orlando, is now a place of grief. I stand in silence and solidarity with those affected, because I also see hope too. Real allies are standing up. We are not alone.

So, tomorrow’s flight will ultimately bring me elsewhere where the summer reminds me of a Perth, Western Australia winter. It will definitely be another journey of sorts – and I need the break.

I am not sure how many people will read this. But yes, I am going to get on a plane. Wish us safety, wish us joy, wish us the smoothness of flights.

Take care, everyone

Am ok.

I am being let go at my workplace, simply because the education ministry found full-time teachers to fill in the slots and adjunct teachers are just extra help. Granted I did spend three years in this school…

So, yes, I will be without a job in the near future. But I have skills and I can plan my future(s). The only bitches I have to deal with are my mother in law and her shit.

But I do have a Patreon if you are so inclined to help, because I do have med fees to pay as well:

So, I am at home again. I haven't slept well. I think I am fatigued. But the fridge chose to die and I am up and awake, having to deal with the fridge repairman.

Back to work tomorrow.

I am back!

Landed at Changi International this morning, after 20 odd hours of flight, plus a layover at Dubai.

But... I am back!

Wish me luck and journey blessings.
